We’re planning the new bicycle skills facility located at Eastview Park. It will be built in two stages next to the soccer fields toward the south-east portion of the park.

The first part of the facility we asked for your help to design is the pump track.

  • Refine the pump track design
  • Understand what programing, events or training you would like to see
  • Plan future amenities and phases

We’ll use your feedback to finalize the design and share it with the community by winter 2022.

We have formed working group!

During the last phase of engagement we invited anyone invested in the project to submit an application to our Bike Park working group. This volunteer group will help to finalize the pump track design using community feedback and their own expertise and experiences. The working group will meet over the fall and early winter 2022. Watch for updates to the design from their work in their new year.

  • What is a bike park and pump track?

A bike park is a purpose-built facility for bicycles of all types (BMX, mountain, dirt jump, recumbent). They are designed to give riders of all ages and skill levels the ability to get outdoors and safely improve their bike riding skills. A bike park may include pump tracks, progressive jumps, skills courses, trails and other features.

A pump track is looped track with berms, rollers and turns—it’s designed for riders to use their body to ‘pump’ and move with little pedaling. Our pump track is for all wheels (bicycle, scooter, rollerblade, skateboard, wheelchair, etc.), all ages and skill levels. It provides a safe space to practice skills, get exercise and meet other people in our community.
