We’re building a new playground at Eastview Community Park this summer and we want to hear what you think of the concepts. The construction of the playground is another phase in building the Eastview Community Park Master Plan. Have a look at the design concepts and tell us if there is an element you’d still like to see or if you have an idea to improve accessibility.

If you have questions ask them using the Question tab and check out the questions we've already been asked and answered.

How much will this cost? Not just the playground and its equipment, but the amenity building, and the eventual splash pad. How much will the annual care costs be? Given the surprises that Ford has downloaded to us, wouldn't it would be better to postpone these luxuries? At least, for now?

The City shares your concerns about downloads from the provincial government to cities, and is advocating alongside dozens of other large urban cities for a much more collaborative approach to serving the needs of Ontarians. In the meantime, the playground is being built as a part of the Eastview Community Park Master Plan, approved by Council in 2009.

Is seating or shade planned for this park?

Picnic tables and/or benches, garbage bins and tree plantings around the playground are planned.

The playground will be located next to the new amenity building where there is access to a water fountain, washrooms and a large shade canopy.
