Consultation has concluded
The 2020 temporary patio program was an emergency measure to help reopen restaurants, bars and cafes that were closed during the first few months of the COVID-19 pandemic. This program allowed for seasonal patios on sidewalks, in parking spots and on roads, and met amended provincial regulations to support COVID-19 recovery throughout the 2020 patio season.
We want to hear from businesses, employees, patrons and anyone else who would like provide feedback about the Temporary Patio Program.
Your input will help us improve the seasonal patio program for 2021 and future years. Recommended changes and guidelines for a seasonal patio program will go to Council for consideration in spring 2021.
UPDATE:
Guelph Council approved a three year seasonal patio program on March 29, 2021.
