Guelph Housing Affordability Strategy Survey 2024

Take this brief survey to help us understand the current housing situation in Guelph. Your input and feedback will help us understand the key issues and gaps related to housing. This feedback is important as we develop the Housing Affordability Strategy.


Participation in the survey is voluntary and should take you no more than 15 minutes to complete. 


The responses to the survey are confidential. Personal information, as defined by Section 2 of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (MFIPPA) is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001, and in accordance with the provisions of MFIPPA.

*Housing is "affordable" if you spend no more than 30% of your before-tax income in housing costs, including rent or mortgage payments, utilities, property taxes, condominium fees, and/or maintenance fees. 

**Needed repairs refers to repairs due to defective plumbing or electrical wiring, structural repairs to walls, floors, roofs or foundation, or renovations to make the home more accessible, such as adding a wheelchair ramp or grab bars in the bathroom. This does not refer to renovations for cosmetic purposes.  

***A dwelling is "suitable" if there are enough bedrooms for a household.
