Funding to grow our parks system as Guelph continues to grow comes in part from development fees we often refer to as 'Growth Revenue'. In particular, Parkland Dedication funds a significant portion of new parks across the city. Not all park upgrades and additions to parks are covered by growth revenue, and so outcomes from the Parks and Recreation Master Plan may have other budget implications.

Funds for our recreation programming, services and facilities come through a number sources including growth revenue, user fees, project grants, government funding and taxes. Outcomes from the Parks and Recreation Master Plan may have implications on future budgets for recreation as well.
