Pandemic Parks!

Obviously, COVID was (and continues to be) a difficult time for many, many parents. When the pandemic first spread in Canada and we were beginning to lockdown spaces, parks eventually became our go-to place. As I was working from home, juggling my office duties after hours because my day was spent taking care of my 4-year old and managing our household, going to the nearby parks was not only fun for my son, but it became my own "me time."

Going to the park became our daily routine - walking, then we would bike as he grew confident in riding, and growing more adventurous to climb higher and try new playgrounds. It was fun and something that we both did together.

As he did junior kindergarten online, we would take advantage of our breaktimes and head to the park for some outdoor time and fresh air.

We love the parks in our neighbourhood - they're always clean and designed very well. I'm looking forward to the results of the Parks & Rec Master Plan and seeing what new changes and improvements will be implemented throughout our beautiful city!
