Playground Replacements 2023

Thank you for helping us to design three playgrounds!

As part of our annual playground replacement program, three neighbourhood playgrounds will get new equipment in 2023:

Between November 29 and December 15, 2022, we asked the community:

  • What kind of equipment you would like to see
  • What you like about the existing playground
  • If there are any specific accessibility features you would like to see included

What's next

Once we’ve collected and analyzed all of the information received from engagement, we'll use the information to develop requirements for the design of new play equipment. We then send this information to specialized playground designers as part of our process for selecting new play equipment. We will review the design submissions and select the best two designs for each park to share with you for your opinions on the best design and how we can improve it even further.

Final designs and plans for construction will be shared in the summer of 2023, with construction starting as early as the fall.
