Help us choose the new playground for W.E. Hamilton Park
Back in August, we announced we’re replacing the playground at W.E. Hamilton Park.
We asked for your help to tell us what kind of equipment you want to see, what you like about the current playground and if there are any accessibility features you want to see. Using your feedback, we created two playground designs for the park that the community voted on.
A new playground has been chosen
Over 391 people cast their vote. The design by Play Power Canada was chosen.
The new playground features:
Two slides, including a roller slide similar to Riverside Park’s playground
Spinner
Miniature playhouse
Climbers
Play panels
Swings
Construction will start in spring 2021 and we’ll share on our Facebook and Twitter feeds once it’s open.
Wondering when your neighbourhood playground will be replaced?
When we replace play equipment, we consider available budget, maintenance, how to make the play equipment fun for everyone and comments from our community. Playgrounds are replaced every 18-20 years depending on their condition. Your participation in engagement will help us choose the right play equipment for your neighbourhood.
