Help us choose the four playgrounds we’re replacing
Back in March 2020, we announced we’re replacing playgrounds at four parks in Guelph:
Bullfrog Pond Park, 13 Walnut Drive
Clair Park, 22 Eugene Drive
Kortright Hills Park, 165 Milson Crescent
Westminster Woods Park, 146 Clairfields Drive East
We asked for your help to tell us what kind of equipment you want to see, what you like about the current playground and if there are any accessibility features you want to see. Read the summary of what we heard. Using your feedback, we’ve created two playground designs for each park for you to vote on. A pdf of each design is available in the document library on the right of the page so you can download and zoom in to get a better look.
Voting for Clair Park will restart on August 17
Last Friday, we paused the engagement on Clair Park as one of the two designs was posted incorrectly.
To comply with our transparent and fair procurement practices, it is necessary that we restart the engagement process on Clair Park, posting the two correct designs for your feedback.
We apologize for this inconvenience and strongly urge you to review the two designs now posted and recast your vote. We will keep the voting on Clair Park open until September 7. This delay will not affect planned construction of the new playground in spring 2021.
What's next?
Once we’ve collected everyone’s final choice, we’ll select the play equipment with the most support and announce the playground designs on our Facebook and Twitter pages in September.
Construction of the playgrounds has been moved to spring 2021 due to scheduling delays related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Is one of your favourite parks on our list?
When we replace play equipment, we consider available budget, maintenance, how to make the play equipment fun for everyone and comments from our community. Your participation in engagement will help us choose the right play equipment for your neighbourhood.
