Urban Forest Management Plan

Consultation has concluded

In the foreground a drawn image of a green sprouting tree planted in a an arrow shape is swooping upward indicating growth. In the background a cityscape in blue.

The Urban Forest Management Plan (UFMP) provides strategic guidance over 20 years (2013-2032) to implement key recommendations carried out in four five-year management plans. The five-year plans helps us evaluate our work, improving our policies and practices by learning from our outcomes. So far, we’ve completed one of the four five-year plans and we’re getting ready to report to Council on:

  • The state of the urban forest
  • Work we have completed
  • What we’re still working on
  • The effectiveness of the UFMP – how we are doing
  • Any changes in recommendations

We want to hear from you:

We want to hear what you think about how we’re managing Guelph’s urban forest and how the UFMP can continue to be effective as Guelph grows.
