The City is updating its 2014 solid waste management master plan, exploring new and innovative ways we can support our growing community's waste management needs.

We're looking at how new approaches in waste management and consumer trends will shape the future of waste management in Guelph, and how we can improve our current system for a more sustainable future.

Guelph is proud to be a leader in waste management. We need to continue to work together to build on Guelph’s leadership in reducing waste to create a plan that meets our needs today and tomorrow.

    The City of Guelph is updating the Solid Waste Management Master Plan to provide strategic direction for managing the city’s waste over the next 25 years. Through this update, we will be examining how new approaches in waste management and consumer trends will shape the future of waste management in Guelph, and how to improve our current waste management system for a more sustainable future.

    We acknowledge that COVID-19 may have changed the way you think about the materials we use and how we manage waste. In some of the questions that follow, we ask you to reflect on your waste management patterns before the pandemic, while other questions ask you how your opinions may have changed as a result of the pandemic.

    This survey will take approximately 8 minutes to complete.  Please share it with your friends and family!

    Your participation in this survey is voluntary. All individual responses will be kept confidential and will be used only for the purposes of helping to develop an updated strategy for waste management in Guelph. Non-identifiable summaries of responses may be developed and shared publicly.
