Thanks for trying Disc Golf in Peter Misersky Park. This survey now closed, but please enjoy the course for the rest of this winter!

We were thrilled to see so much community support for this project. We heard that there is need for a beginner disc golf loop to help grow the sport and create accessible opportunities for recreation in Guelph. We will continue our search for the right space to create a permanent loop, and we will continue to use this temporary course to test the sport out across the city.

With other disc golf facilities in nearby parks, and in response to the concerns raised around parking and some conflict with other park uses, we are not recommending to make disc golf a permanent feature in Peter Misersky Park at this time. We will, however, keep the three-hole disc golf loop in place for neighbourhood use for a few more months as there were also many respondents who supported the course in this location.

We also encourage you to visit other disc golf courses across town to enjoy this growing sport!

Check out our summary report to learn more about what we heard and what were doing.

In the fall of 2023, we added three beginner disc golf holes to Peter Misersky Park for a short time to understand community interest related to this growing sport and to bring neighbours together for a little fun outdoors.

Throughout the months of October and November 2023, community members were encouraged to give disc golf a try and let us know if disc golf is a good addition to this park more permanently
