We’re planning the new bicycle skills facility located at Eastview Park. It will be built in multiple stages next to the soccer fields toward the south-east portion of the park.

In 2021 and 2022 we engaged with the public and a dedicated bike park working group made of Guelph community members to help refine the concept plan and prepare for final design development.

In December 2022, the Environmental Impact Study for the proposed works was completed and Phase 1 of the design is being developed through a consultant specializing in bike park design and construction contract administration.

Construction of Phase 1 is currently planned for 2024. Future construction updates will be available through our main website.

  • CLOSED: This survey has concluded.

We’re building a bike park and the first phase will be an asphalt pump track. The initial concept design for this track includes:

    • Easiest beginner pump track loop (toddlers, rollers, and berms)
    • Beginner to intermediate pump track loop (rollers, roller doubles, transfers and berms);
    • Intermediate to advanced pump track loop (rollers, roller doubles, transfers and berms).

The design will be refined in the coming months with the help of a working group made of community members and bike park experts. To help the working group make a park that works for our community, please share your thoughts with us.

Have your say in our bike park working group?

We are creating a bike park working group to help refine the pump track design using community feedback and your own experiences. If you are not interested in the working group, there is no need to complete this form.

    About the working group

The purpose of the working group is to dive a little deeper into specific aspects of the design.  We will use community experience and opinions to help us refine our concept design. The working group is not a decision-making body, but an opportunity to provide detailed feedback and focused conversation on something you are passionate about.

Participants should plan to commit to three virtual group meetings over this fall and winter. The first virtual meeting will take place November 10 , 2021 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The second and third meetings will take place in the evening in February and April 2022, date and time to be determined. There may be opportunity to continue with the working group as future phases of the bike park are implemented.

We are looking for a group of twelve engaged residents who are passionate about bike parks. Our ideal committee will include a diversity of participates including but not limited to youth, adults, beginner riders, experienced riders and/or adaptive bike riders. Parents are welcome to participate with children under 14.

    About the application

The questions on the form are personal and will help to ensure that the small group selected to participate will be as diverse as possible. Your responses should demonstrate how your skills and experience fit with the working group.

Please note that filling in the form is no guarantee of an invitation. Our team will reach out to selected participants by November 5, 2021.

To recieve this application in an accessible format please contact Tiffany Hanna at tiffany.hanna@guelph.ca or by phone 519-822-1260 extension 3371.

Deadline for applications is 4:30 p.m. on October 26, 2021.
