Moving Guelph Forward

Guelph is growing and how we move around our city is changing. We're exploring transportation options to make our city move better in every way.

We need to work together to create a strong plan for transportation in Guelph. We have tough choices to make to ensure we properly balance the needs of everyone in our community today and tomorrow.

Your input is a critical part of this process. We had to pause engagement this year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the pandemic and physical distancing measures, it is likely that future engagement activities and information sharing will continue to happen digitally.

At this phase, we want your feedback on the draft values and goals for the Guelph Transportation Master Plan (TMP), along with your input on the draft problem and opportunity statements, four alternative solutions and key issues identified. Your feedback will help the project team confirm and finalize the foundation of the TMP, which will help develop criteria to evaluate the alternative solutions and identify the preferred alternative.

We will be asking for your feedback again in early 2021 to get your input on the draft preferred solution for the Guelph TMP.

To learn about the draft values and goals, existing conditions, the problem statements and the draft alternative solutions visit our interactive virtual open house (StoryMap). After reviewing this information, please take our online survey to share your feedback. The survey closes on December 4, 2020.

The Gordon Street temporary bus-only lane is a demonstration to test transit priority measures as part of exploring the Community Plan vision of “transit is a priority”. It is a way to reimagine and experiment with the types of changes we could see on our roads in the future.  What we learn from you will help guide the ongoing Transportation Master Plan.

Please complete the short survey below and tell us what you like about the street, what you don’t like, and what you think we could do differently to make it easier for you to move around in Guelph.

The Woolwich Street two-way protected bike lane was a temporary demonstration of how the City may achieve complete streets in existing roadways. We want to know what you like about the street, what you don’t like, and what you think we could do differently to make it easier for you to move around in Guelph.

Didn't get a chance to visit the pop-up protected bike lane? Check out this 360 degree video and complete the survey to share your feedback.
